Within the Spahn & Rose family of companies, a primary Core Value is to significantly give back to the communities we serve. During this past year, the Spahn & Rose Charitable Foundation donated more than $149,500 to 75 of local charitable organizations. To celebrate this community spirit, representatives of nonprofit groups gathered with Spahn & Rose staff at the Dubuque, Iowa, Spahn & Rose location on December 19 for Community Day.
“At Spahn & Rose, supporting our communities is more than a responsibility—it’s a privilege,” says CEO Dave Davis. “We’re committed to using our time, resources, and expertise to make a meaningful impact where we live and work.”
During Community Day festivities, representatives from the charities received oversize ceremonial checks, mingled with Spahn & Rose staff and enjoyed drinks and snacks.
Here is a small sample of the organizations at Community Day that received support in 2024 from the Spahn & Rose Foundation:
The Spahn & Rose Charitable Foundation was founded in 1950 to support programs that provide services to help at-risk youth and promote community health and higher education. During the past decade, the Spahn & Rose Foundation has given more than $1.5 million to local organizations.
“Spahn & Rose serves communities in five states, and we’re actively seeking partnerships with organizations that are making a real difference in all those communities,” says Jacque Arensdorf, Spahn & Rose’s Director of Marketing. “The Spahn & Rose Foundation is here to help fuel impactful work that strengthens our communities.”
Charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations requesting support can visit Spahn & Rose’s donations page to apply. Requests must be made at least four weeks before the donation is needed. The Spahn & Rose Foundation Committee reviews requests during its monthly meetings, then votes based on need, locality and relevance to the Spahn & Rose Foundation pillars of support, which include education, youth, health, housing and recreation.
The Foundation operates according to the January-to-December calendar year, so submitting requests earlier in the year is optimal. Donation requests will receive email responses.
